would a Air-pump failure cause the motor to rough idle ??

 

I don't believe it would, since it usually only pumps air through the lines on start up and for the first few minutes until the temps are up. I don't think it would actually effect idle anyways. The air goes from the pump, to the valves which I believe only allow the air to flow into the manifold and then out through the exhaust system. It shouldn't bother the idle at all.
