Getting a bigger TB will definately flow more air, but the stock one flows enough for upwards 400 or so HP. The airfoil just eliminates some of the turbulence in the air when entering the intake, for 35 bucks, i'm getting one.

spend the little extra $$ and get one from summit or jegs. I got a cheap one off of ebay and it doesn't fit right. I mean, it does fit in there and provide a break in the air, but it doesn't line up w/ the tb right and I think may not work as well as a name brand one.

good luck.

TB airfoils are a waste of money...even if it is just $35...they show a 0 hp inscrease at the dyno...MAYBE 1 hp on a heavily modded engine...

Just my $.02

A bigger throttle body is not needed on a stock motor.
I have an airfoil in my car, I think it helps but you wont feel a difference. Just one of those every little bit helps kinda things.

I have an air foil on my throttle body and definately noticed a 0.63 HP increase.

Sarcasm aside--does it help? Probably a little. Will you notice it? No.

And to piggy-back on Revtime, you won't need a larger TB if you're stock.

You wont gain any HP from the Airfoil , but alot of guys on this board have said they notice a increase in throttle response ... Ill be getting one sometime soon i think if i can find one for under 20$ on ebay ...

i've heard that when you put underdrive pully kit on it produces exssive heat so you have to cool it down some how.

why would it put excess heat on the trans? The waterpump is geardriven.... If anything it would be less heat should'nt it, b/c everything is runnign at less rpm and less than its normal potential?

If I remember right, HPP or GMHTP was doing a bolt on session with a LT1 Trans Am, and when they put a Holley Airfoil on it, gained 5.8 hp. I've got it around here somewhere, but I distinctly remember that.

They sem like they'd be worth while ... even if you dont see any real gains at first... im sure with a stronger breathing engine ( Heads, Cam, Exhaust) that pulls in more air , it would compliment those mods and have to help some... The more air rushin in the engine, the more turbulence and thats what theyre made to do is eliminate some of that so id say tis a worth while mod , especially if your planning on doing more serious mods later ...

I did notice a little better throttle response with mine. I remember that a website (forget the name) showed about a 3 hp increase. I got mine for $35 and I belive that ever little bit helps.

EDIT: WS6.com is the website
