air and egr problems with pacesetter lt's HELP!!!!!

first of all the air didn't line up. and when i took it off and tried to thread it up, it didn't.

i called pacesetter, and they didn't help me out at all.

i wondering if rubber plugs for the tubes and 22mm drain plugs will take care of this? also, where do i get these?

that's the first problem. the second is the egr. it is directly hitting the tranny dipstick. i don't know what to do. if i unbolt the header and then bolt the egr, and then bolt up the header again or do i have to move the tranny dipstick. also how do i go about moving the tranny dipstick since i will have to move it off it's mount.

any experience or suggestions will help. i will even block the egr in any way if i can. the only problem is how do i fill the egr tube in the header?

i just threaded the air as far in as it would go and no problems with it. The egr is another story, i still havent figured out how to keep it from leaking. Im think jb weld this time around. I'll let u know if that fixes it. -michael

I'd just delete the crap... Then you wont have any problems...

I think you can get a set of EGR delete plates and such off ebay. That might be an option.

Knowing you're in NY, technically you need to have the emissions stuff on there, and removing it is a felony... Anyway, my advice is see what WILL thread into those pacesetter headers - perhaps there is another fitting that is close in size that will work. Where in NY are you located?

...Ah yes... another great sign of Pacesetter's quality control... I dealt with them twice. I was told after my first horror story "they're better" and I had even more trouble then the first time. Part Quality was horrible. Customer Service was horrid. They literally told me "you cant be having those problems. It's impossible." Yeah. Never dealing with them again.

i have taken care of the air issue for now.

the problem with the egr still remains.i am some what clueless on what to do.

i think i am going to get a metal plate and rtv and bolt it down to cover the header part and i will take the plate and cut a pepsi can to that size and rtv that to the plate and bolt it down on the intake.

pacesetter quality is good. They just mis-engineered the egr hookup on the header. it needs to have reverse threads which it doesnt. if it had those they would perfectly. once i get the egr fixed they should be flawless, im very impressed with the coating as well. -Michael

Can't you bend the tranny tube a little so the EGR will clear it? Or bend both the EGR line and the tube? I know you can't go much with either but any amount should help right?
