Where can I find this on the site? (Porting only). I just had a valve job on my heads and put them all back together on my rebuilt engine. I don't need it resurfaced, valve job, etc.

I'll probably need to contact him, but if I can disassemble my heads and ship them, have him port/polish mine and be capable of the HP/TQ numbers on his site for... $450 you saw on there?

There's definitely more to heads than just the flow #s at .600" lift. AI will most offer you a good combination overall to keep your heads streetworthy. A race head that offers huge peak numbers might be good for the track, but you want good overall flow #s combined with small ports to give you a really good powerband. For instance, a head that flows well at .3, .4 lift but bad at .6 may actually be able to pull in more air than a head that only does good at .5, .6 when you're talking about an engine made for the street. That combined with a non-monster intake port (you want torque below 4000 rpms, don't you? ) will get you a set of heads that will beat the crap out of some heads that were made and advertised only for peak flow #s. A good cam to go with that and you'll have an engine that will impress you at 3k rpms and 6k. People seem to forget that it's not about the biggest of everything that you can get, but the right combination of parts.

The guy doing my lt4s shoots for 2% with great mid lift numbers and high cfm/CC.

Re: AI heads that much better than Home ported?

They just updated thier website, so it looks like the "porting only" part is now missing. Just give them a call or email them. They have far and above the best customer service I have encountered.

Ron gets back to his emails usually within a couple of hours...so just send them an email about the porting only cost, but I beleive it was 500 or high 400s.
