Aftrmarket Tach. just stoped working??

Aftrmarket Tach. just stoped working??
I had my car sent in for an oil leak and now I got it back and the after market tach doesn't work.
the light is on so it gets power but there is no RPM signal or something.
I check all my wires and grounds, all hooked up and in fine shape. What could have happened? I have the rpm wire going in the side of the MSD 6al.
any help is appriciated, thanks!
