Aftermarket Bleeder screws

Aren’t there some companies that make replacement bleeder screws that allow you to bleed the air out with a hose like you’d do your brakes? I’ve been searching on the Internet and I can’t seem to find any.

Why not the Earl's Solo-Bleeders?

Re: Aftermarket Bleeder screws

I thought there was a company that made replacement bleeders for the cooling system. I thought I read this in one of the posts a while ago. You replace the screws with brake-like bleeders and run a hose in the overflow tank. Then you open the bleeders until you don’t see any air in the tube. This keeps you from getting antifreeze on the opti.

It’s been a hard week at work. (and it’s only Wednesday) maybe I dreamt it.

Oh, I thought you were talking about brake bleeders. I'm not really sure what you are looking for.

The bleeders I’ve talking about are replacements for the one in the thermostat housing and the one in the upper hose. I thought I read about them in one of the posts. I remember be looking at the website. Now I can’t find either.

Someone at work new what I was talking about. If anyone’s interested they are called freasebleeders. But you can just go to you local hardware store and purchase 1/8 pipe needle valve and barb fitting and it will accomplish the same thing. The freasebleeder is a cleaner installation though.

Thanks for the responses.
