Aftermarket Beginner Question
Aftermarket Beginner Question
Hey, I have a 94' A4 Z28 and I just got the engine running great and ready for the road. What does everyone recommend the 1st 5 Aftermarket Mod's be? Headers, Exhaust... anything and everything you have come accross and found to work the best. Thanks!
CA (open air filter (k&n or holley)
free flowing exhaust system including cat if required
1.6 RRs with dual springs capable of supporting future cam
mail-order tune (if no dyno-tune available)
LT headers (if allowed in your area).
These mods should bring you up to 300+- RWHP without compromising the rest of your engine.
Getting into heads and cams requires serious considration of the effects on the bottom end and rear. JMHO

This is a situation when you need to look at two things.
What do you want your car to be able to do.
What does your budget look like.
Most people like to do some sort of Cold air kit first. Its easy and it takes no time at all to put in. Then there is exhaust, tune up, gears, sticky tires and depending on how deep you want to go a cam. Now for the exhaust and tune up, thats is nice to do together cause it makes access to the wires and plugs a little nicer.
I would think about how you want your car to perform and then start matching parts from there.
