Aftermarket alternator to allow tall valve covers?

Is there any alternators out there that would bolt up to our cars and have a slimmer case or some other design that would allow us LT1 guys to run tall valve covers while keeping the alt. in the stock location?

Not in keeping it in the stock location. You can either move it to the position of the AC condenser with the 1LE AC delete kit, or you can get the new alt relocating bracket that was just developed that places it in the position of the AIR pump. Here is a link to that here.

Madman has a kit to relocate. I have no clue what it comes with but it's everything you need.

Madmans deletes power steering I believe. Only one bracket keeps all the accessories and allows different valve covers.

I looked into this alot. I called around and the shallowest case that is not to expensive is the alternator from a Lightning/Cobra. It was 1-2" shorter than ours (Can't remember exactly). But the bad thing is you will need to have someone fab you custom brackets to bolt it up.
