after warm up the engine sputters when i hit the gas??
I just did an opti change and put a new coil, ignition moduel on my 96 lt1. I thougtht that the lid to maf sensor rubber piece had some holes in it (with i still think it does but i havent checked yet) but if that was the problem i think i would have a problem with the car sputtering right from start up?? Well when i start it the car will run ok until its warm, then when i give it some gas the car will sputter and not want to run until it goes to idle. What the hell is wrong?
Had the same problem... replaced everything ignition wise... turned out to be a clogged cat.... if that's not the case check your fuel pump.... but since you said it doesn't happen til it warms up, the cat is the more likely.
I feel your pain!
My 94 Z28 started hesitating, and the engine would start reving up when I was stopped or parked, then it started missing, 4 shops later.......and 1 new cat. that I didn't need I droped it off
at the dealer. For 115.00 they have all the proper test equipment and will diagnoise the problem. they told me my PCM is bad....
and can repair for 725.00 trust me on this and it will save you the time and $ I wasted Have your OBD / PCM checked!

So your saying cold (or open loop) it's ok but warm (closed loop) it's hesitating and slugish? could it be that the feedback from the O2s is bad and the ECM is responding according to the erant signal with bad adjustments? I'm not sure but just throwing that out for others to think about. Someone should be able to come up with this one. good luck.
