after replacing oil pressure sending unit?

the oil pressure now reads even lower.

Is there a possibility the unit is too tight?

caus now my car read at 15psi at idle and sometimes lower and at cruising it read like 35-38 psi.

Could just be the difference in that unit or maybe it is really correct. Is it an AC-Delco unit or another brand? Verify pressure with a mechanical gauge.

You can use the auxiliary port by the oil filter for a gauge.

little off topic but when putting the pickup on the oil pump. The screen is suppose to face up towards the car, instead of facing down towards the ground correct?

Sure, but it's probably easier to do on the side, plus you can keep the original gauge. Whatever you want to do.

How can you put the pickup on the pump with the screen facing up? It faces down. Maybe you should post a pic of what you mean.

Don't think that will work.

Re: after replacing oil pressure sending unit?

just a thought in my head. Since the pickup faces the front of the car, turning it around to face the back of the car makes the screen face up.

But besides that. Why would this new part make the pressure even worse?
