I dont understand as well. I dont understand how it works. I think on thier website for each of the heads listed they offer port jobs for them as well. That's where I get lost.

For what? Street or drag only car?

Bigger than 210 is not street friendly

Re: afr heads.

stock LT1 heads have 170cc intake ports, their heads come in different ported size of intake ports, so the 1st one at 180cc is ported 10cc's over stock and so on, their heads are all tested on a flow bench

Re: afr heads.

I'll be doing the AFR 215 Raised Runners for my heads/cam drag car. I'll be putting that plus the LT4 Edlebrock intake manifold.

Please dear god put a worth while intake if you go to the trouble of those heads...Don't waste your time with an LTx design. If you really think its a worthy route to go with those heads, stick with 210's.

Re: afr heads.

Sheet metal, or a single plane at a minimum. Heads that require offset lifters (solid roller only) and rockers shouldn't have anything less. These heads are no joke.

Expect to spend no less than 2K on valvetrain component's, not to mention if you do use a Ltx intake you'll need to spend some $$ getting it to fit the rr heads.. While they are a nice set of heads and i would recommend them if you do want one of the best AFR's on the market.. I think you could get away easily w/ a 220 or so and some extra work on them for less than the 215rr... Still use your ltx intake being it's a FI setup..

Am I misunderstanding you or are you stating that the RR 215 head can only be used with a solid roller cam?
