AFR and APR problems

>I got Air Flow Research #1031 heads (195cc) and went to install the APR studs only to find out that the openings for the nuts to go over the studs is to narrow for tne socket to fit in with the nut in place (BTW - I am using Craftsman tools) . This is only a problem with the fasteners between the valve springs .
Does anyone else have this problem ?
What did you do ?

I used regular ARP head bolts on the 1031 heads. Much easier than using studs. I also put a hardened washer under each head bolt to raise it up alittle.

>I also used the ARP 12 point bolts the first time I installed the AFR heads , but I figured that I would go with the studs this time incase I decided to remove the heads again for some reason .
I did figure out why ... I went with the 6 point nuts instead of the 12 point nuts , and that is the reason the socket won't fit in the openings .
