Advice needed on oil pan removal
After doing a ton of searching, I have not found the answer so...
On my '97 ss there are coolant lines on the drivers side. I assume these are for the oil cooler. Someone correct me if I am wrong please. How do I get under these to get at the bolts? Do they need to be removed?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You should just remove the oil cooler anyway. There have been numerous posts about it, how to remove it, and the benefits. I did it, and my oil pressure went up a couple of pounds. But yes getting it out of the way will make it easier to remove the oil pan. I did not see if you were a M6 or A4, it is said to be easier for the A4 folks, I have a M6. Still can be done, just more involved. Again lots of posts on how to do it. I am putting it off, but untill I get a serious leak or problem, I don't have the time to do mine know. If you do remove the pan, I suggest changing the timing chain set , and replacing the gaskets in the timing cover.
