Advantages of using LT1 Edit on an OBD2 VS and OBD1?

Right now I converted to OBD1 and have LT1 Edit running for my 97 TA. Is there any advantages of using OBD2 and LT1 Edit, or possibly another program?

Im having a tuff time on the shift tables getting it right. Also I am developing the 2-3 shift with my stall. Does the OBD2 have the same problem?

Opinions----- Stay with the OBD1 or swap back to OBD2? Stay with LT1 Edit or swap to Tunercat or another?

If your gonna any serious mods, stick with the obd I. Its a lot less picky, OBDII s are known for throwing codes after all sorts of mods.
