Advantage Of Reverse Cooling?

why didnt they continue using reverse cooling on everything?
or atleast cars that didnt need it, like a cavalier or something?
as to what ive read its extreemly more useful as a cooling system
so, it seems they were on the right idea, so why quit with camaro and corvettee?
