adjusting your idle speed

isn't there a way by turning a screw or something to adjust the idle?

you can pull the PCM/BATT fuse, adjust the throttle blade screw maybe a full tuen at a time... wait a min or 2, reinstall the fuse and start it back up

just repeat the process until you get the idle where you want it, just pull the fuse each time tho

done it on mine quite a few times to adjust the idle and its fine

The PCM will allways try to match the RPM setting on the Idle speed vrs temp table by adjusting the IAC stepper.

A stock TB on a 1997 should not need any adjustment to the stop screw. If you change it, the computer will just readjust the IAC steps to compensate and retain the idle speed that the computer has programmed into it. Unless you have special circumstances to need to change the minimum throttle opening, you should change the idle speed with programming.
