adjusting throttle blades, ???

What is the proper procedure, appears my locktite or stuff to keep them from moving has gave way, bolts spins fairly easy.

Somewhat confusing post???

Did the throttle stop screw strip out or something? Drill/tap for a bigger bolt

I need to know what is...

the procedure for setting the blades as far as how much gap if any, do you just back the adjusting screw off till blades bottom the turn in just enough so they dont bind???

No, you adjust it to where you're car is getting the correct amount of air re-directed through the IAC valve.
Shoot for 30-40 counts...that should be ok.

You can also use throttle position voltage...less confusing. Stock is around .65volts. Setting IAC would be in park,a/c off.

so turn the adjusting screw till I read...

.65 volts on my scanner?? How about the steps??

Yup, just turn the screw till you reach the desired reading. Anywhere between 30 and 60 steps should be fine.

Just remember to set the IAC counts before the TPS voltage. As you turn that throttle stop screw you will change your TPS voltage.
Also, remember that after you make an IAC adjustment that you need to turn the car off and restart it to realize your change on your scanner.

2 bolts and it moves VERY little.

I have been doing alot of testing with my car lately. I found that with my BBK 58mm TB, that if you have the blades open at all, it results in split LT BLMs. I have it set so the blades close tight.

If you want to, you can take the tps off and slot the holes to give your self some adjustment.
I'm not telling you to do it though, as I've never done it on an LT1.
But I've heard of people doing it.

I cant get 30-60 steps.

This is a 383 and it idles awful, has a hot cam. It shows like desired at 56 and reads around 100 steps Lowest tps reading I can get is .68
