Which adjustable guide plates to use on LT1???

I have found that I dont trust the GM guideplates on my motor, they dont align the rocker tip quite right on my heads. So everyone says to run adjustable guide plates.

So, I found some ISKY's on Summitracing.com, but they say that you should weld them after you get them adjusted. Seems like a PITA since you'd have to weld them while on the motor or else it seems like they'd be off. If those ISKY's are the only ones around then what size pushrod is right for an LT1, I am just running CMotorsports hardend pushrods.'

Thanks,
James

5/16 pushrods

The ISKY's are a PITA to adjust but you don't need to weld them.

So you dont have to weld them? How do you adjust them, just move them around until you find the optimal position for them then tighten them down?

Thanks,
James
