Question Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator

I'm putting a CC 306 cam in my car. I want to make sure I don't run lean so I'm going to put an adjustable fuel pressure regulartor in too.

Does anybody know of a good one to use? Are there any good deals out there right now?

Thanks for the help!

I dont see how it's going to be effective on anything but a 93.

Correct me if I,m wrong but at part throttle it would not help you but it should help at WOT.

the pcm does not see the pressure but it will see the added fuel and compinsate for it by lowering the pulsewidth on the injectors.

I've heard this also. It will make a difference, but the PCM will compensate. So does that mean that there is no reason/benifet for an adjustable regulator for a MAF equipped f-body?

Yes, but the PCM is not reading the O2s at WOT right? So if you bump up the pressure then at WOT you would get some gains, would,nt you?

no the pcm has a targeted A/F ratio its shooting for. and based on the the blms that it has leared before you go into PE mode (not open loop) is what it uses to hit the target A/F ratio. open loop uses 3 diferent cells, pe mode uses 2, if it saw anyhting greater than 128 it will uses cell 15 anyhting less than 128 it uses cell 18. so all in all its uses what its learned to hit the target A/F ratio in PE mode

so when you go into pe mode it sees the last cell it used (which it has already corected for the Afpr). and knows how much to adjust the pulse to hit its target.

this is a very rough paraphrased answer but trust me i does no good at any point in time.

you would not want to up the pressure becuase the car already is running rich.

you need to do all the fuel changes in the pcm.

So if I have had the PCM programmed by someone like Ed Wright then I could benefit from upping the fuel pressure?
