Question ACCEL adjustable fuel pressure regulator

I am in the market for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator (FPR), and I researched that they average at about $110 a piece. Then I went on ebay and found one for LT1 for $50

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33553

Maybe anyone has an adjustable ACCEL fuel pressure regulator, what you guys think about it

Problem is that the item on ebay doesn't have instructions. What tools woud I need to install the FPR, and how would I adjust it. I already have a gage. The reason I am in the market is that I installed 255 fuel pump

Not worth it.. But if you want to.. you need a pretty much a fuel line disconnect kit or tool and some hand tools.

so even if I have a stock fuel pressure regulator and a high volume 255 fuel pump, there is no need for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I checked the fuel pressure and it was 41psi at 1k-5k rpm while the car was not moving. If I am going to spray my car in the future, would a adjustable FPR be necesary?

oh, didnt see that.. I could help u on that one.. I have never heard of any one ever changing the AFPR who knows what they are doing. Only kids who have to much money and nothing to do. But i have no clue with that pessure.. I would be more worried about the fuel components like the lines and stuff.

I am by no means a rich kid, I would call myself a broke student . Ported my heads with a dremlen. My fuel pressure is perfect, but somebody told me that high volume 255 fuel pump acts differently at high rpm's when car is under load (moving). I am not a mechanic, but it would make some sense to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I was wondering if people who have a 350 and above rwhp using as a fuel pressure regulator.

Hello "Paul" of lietuvis... it's called a Dremel, not a dremlin, didn't I tell you that already?

Maybe I'm the rich spoiled kid... When I installed an inline fuel pump, my pressure went up about 4psi. So I used an AFPR to lower it back down to where it should be. If yours is at normal pressure, I can't see a reason you'd need to adjust it. Even with nitrous.

ADJ FPR is a waste of money... even if you adjust the fuel pressure... the computer will just make the injectors spray MORE fuel to compensate for the lower pressure... you have to tune your ECM to get the a/f you want! plain and simple
