Are Accel 300+ 8.8 racing wires any good?

Just chekcing out my options for plug wires and saw these cheap and wondered if they were worth looking at. How about the Extreme 9000 heat reflective Accels? Thanks.

Accels typically aren't that great. I put an ohm meter on a set of super stockers in AutoZone once and they were about 25,000 ohm's of resistance. The MSD's in the store were less than 200. I dunno about accels high line stuff, but from what I have seen other brands may be the way to go.

Yeah I know the Super Stockers are crap but was wondering about the higher line ones. According to Summit, they're supposed to be 150 ohms of resistance and the MSDs were supposedly 50 ohms.

Cool

I use the Extremes. Very nice wires. On my second set. No problems with first set just replaced them as part of routine maintenance at 100000 mis. First set ran problem free for 60000mis after header install routed stock.

I have never had any probs with Accels either...I use the 9000 series with the coating on the boots...good fitting, long lasting wire...

I am using the race wires as well (300++). They seem to be working okay, they were hard to route though since they are so fat. Good luck in your decision. -michael

I had ACCEL Extreme 9000s. I didn't like them. Taylor wires have less than half the resistance than the ACCELs.
