pulled my belt off and i think its the ac pulley thats making all the noise. bearings going bad or something, is this hard to change and do i need to buy the whole thing or just the pulley. i cant see how im supposed to get it off.

does the hub spin easy? how about the clutch. it should turn fairly hard but sill turn.

if it's the clutch that doesn;t turn get a whole comprssor. the rod could have broke and locked up the clutch. I very much recomend changeing the hole compressor no matter what even if it is just the hub.


you are better off.. a shop will charge you a TON to do it but.... it's cause they can do it right. there is a lot involved in fixing teh AC system

once you lock it up the compressor needs to be replaced and at LEAST the system be flushed, however. it is very highly recomended that teh reciver/drier be repalced (in fact they say to replace every 2 years but who does that). it's also a god idea to replace the expantion valve incase any trash got in the system.
