ac always running

When i bought my z28 the place i got it from said that they paid 600 for new ac. It works really good and comes out ice cold the only prob is that it sort of runs all the time. When i turn it off it still comes out on my feet and where the defroster spot is on the top of the dash. I dont know what is making the ac continue to run in these spots. If this happened to anyone and they can tell me what they did that would be great. thanks in advance

Please explain more. Do you mean air continues to come out those locations with no temperature change or your fan speed does not change or the compressor does not cycle off...what?

Even with the controls off, a small amount of air will come out the floor vent and defrost when the car is moving forward. That is by design.

Re: ac always running

it comes out as cold compressed a/c all the time out of those two spots, almost as if when i turn it off the compressor never unengages, but decides to blow out of those two spots.

I assume you are giving it time to purge all the cold air out of the system after you turn it off.

Can you visually observe that the a/c clutch is staying engaged after the a/c is off? Does it blow out the dash vents when you have the a/c on normally?

I say route hoses from your a/c ducts to your cold air intake and have a boost in hp or at least make up for what your losing

It might be possible
