Ok, about 3 weeks ago I was driving late at night to the store. As I was almost to the parking lot, I heard this loud pop sound coming from the rear end. I thought it was the rear end even though I was coming around a small corner, very light braking and only about 1/4 throttle not to mention a weird sound. (ABS light also came on here as well) Come to find out it was something in the braking system that popped and had grabbed the rotors making that dragging sound. After stopping in the parking lot, I heard the brakes release after I automatically put the parking brake up then bake down again.
Since that night, I have replaced the brake pads, regreased the pins for the calipers and it brakes just fine as far as I can tell,,,,,,HOWEVER,,,,, at around 15mph the ABS inop light comes on and stays on until the key is turned off. It only comes on at that minimal mph and nothing less......
Could someone give me any suggestions as to what I can check out on the car myself B4 having to take it to a dealership!!!!
