abs inop and tcs off light both on please advise

I drove my car today for the first time since winter started and had no problems. Then I took it out tonight and as soon as I started the car the TCS off light and the ABS INOP light came on and stayed on. The traction control button did nothing to turn the traction control on. Traction control is definately off currently. In case it is of any importance the traction control system was functioning properly this afternoon as well as the abs brakes. What could this be?? Did a fuse possibly blow? Any ideas fellas??

I would check to see that your wheel sensors are clean. Mine came on when there was metal patricles from crappy brakes on there.

Also check your third brake light.

Allright so I just went out to check the 3rd brake light (works) and started the car up. The lights are gone and the traction control works again

They are at every wheel. It looks like a saw tooth, well sorta.

that means you had a code set last time you drove it, but not this time. an abs code will always turn off the traction control. I wouldnt do anything w/it unless it comes back. if it does, take it and get it scanned to find out what code it is. hopefully it wont come back.

You could have a bad ground also. I would check the ground that on the passenger side of the car. Just clean that off a little bit and see if that works.
