ABS Inop light after LS1 brake install
ABS Inop light after LS1 brake install
I heard about people having this problem after the install, but I dont know what the cure is. I am using everything from an LS1 car even the hub is LS1. Except one thing the wire is not LS1. I am still using the LT1 harness wire that plugs into the LS1 hub. Should be using an LS1 harness wire or is it something else?

If you just bled the brakes, give it a few days. The light will probably go out. If you wanted to do it right, there is a complicated method of shuttling the ABS wheel motors back and forth. I just did them the old fashioned way and the light went off after a couple of days. Keep an eye on the fluid level and I hope yours returns to normal. If it doesn't scan it and see if it has code.
Yea I bled the brakes quite well with the one man bleeder tube I used. I kept pumping the brakes until the tube was filled to make sure no air bubbles stayed in. So what is this "complicated method of shuttling the ABS wheel motors back and forth" I'd like to learn how to do this.
Whats happing now is sightly differnt. I can drive it for a few minutes after start up and there is no light and the abs does not act up. But after that few minutes the abs kicks on low traction light comes and so does abs inop light. Maybe its a bad sensor in the wheel hub.
