? about Pacesetter ORY in Illinois
I am not sure if I should post this in this forum or the computer related forum, but my question is I plan on running Pacesetter longtubes and the accompanying off-road y-pipe. Obviously this pipe has no cats and I was wondering if anybody in the state of IL or a state with similar emissions standards has been failed by the lack of cats. The car will have O2 sims in the rear, but I am worried if the inspectors will run a mirror under the car. I have never seen them do it in all the times I have been there, but I am not completely sure. Otherwise, the other option is to spend the two hundred bucks and buy a pair of 3" in/out Magnaflow cats. Thanks for your help in advance.

If you are in a part of IL that inspects, then you better get the cats. You will fail a visual inspection, and would probably fail the sniffer.
They dont inspect in my part of the state
