Exclamation Aaalways add loctite and tighten your opti rotor screws *PICS*

After a few months trying to figure out what my car's high rpm miss was, I finally found it:

Seconds after removing the cap (find the screw):

Rotor was hitting the cap cause it was so loose:

The timing disc thing was so off, I couldn't even bolt back the rotor... the hole were the screw goes was completely disaligned...

I find it amaaazing that my car was still running and still got 318rwhp at the dyno Only 12,000 miles on this opti I replaced with a brand new opti and my car is running better than ever

Mine have backed out too, once the rotor was a tad loose it caused an inconsistent 5.5K RPM miss.

I red locktite all my opti rotors now, ain't no way the screws will back out again.

You mean MSD does not use a thread locker on their rotor screw of the $500.00+ opti.

OMG, you expect them to add another 30 seconds to production time? Who's going to cover the added cost of this high tech added feature? Surely not them.

It's not like this couldn't have been done in the first place, or that other models didn't and don't have the same problem. Maybe someone else was clueless?
Don't get me wrong. Iv'e been clueless many a time. But one would think--well you get my point.
