A4 wont shift after headers + tune?
I just got everything done and went to take it out for a drive. I drove it hard to see how much of a difference the headers made so i go WOT and the car gets moving prety quickly then hits the rev limiter and bounces (thats when i let off the gas). This happened twice and the car was running and shifting great before the headers/ tune. I have a scanner and had it hooked up during this time to check for false knock and codes but everything is fine. I got the computer from Ion and the rev limiter was set at 6000 RMP. I didnt ask for him to change the shift points or the firmness so im not sure what the problem could be. The tranny shifts fine under normal driving, its only when i floor it that it doesnt want to shift.
Is this a sign of the A4 starting to go or is this just a computer problem? Suggestions on what to test or try to do to solve the problem?

Re: A4 wont shift after headers + tune?
I had the same thing happen to me when I did headers and gears. I drove the car for about 100 miles and the problem seemed to disipate.
About a month ago I did an engine rebuild with the 503 cam. At the same time I had the pcm retuned and the shift points raised to 6100-6200 rpm. Once I started getting on it I would tap the rev limiter in between 1-2 and 2-3 a couple of times. Adding .5 pints above the recommended fluid range fixed it for the most part. I still however get a miss here and there. My tranny is probably just telling me to leave it alone and give it a nice overhaul
I'll probably end up doing that this winter while the car is stored for the season.
