my 97 formula seems to be having some issues engaging drive and i think its a linkage issue. basically when its pulled out of park into drive it doesnt make it past neutral. to engage drive i need to yank it into third and once engaged i can pop it back up into drive. also if i manually throw it in first it is actually in second as it'll automatically shift into second gear when it wants, then it stays in second until shifted manually into third. the shifter feels pretty sloppy in the hand as well but i might add that the actually shifting of the transmission is still rock solid, no slippage whatsoever which leads me to believe maybe some linkage is loose/worn? any ideas? anyone able to walk me through it or point to a guide somewhere?
