A4-M6 guys, reverse lockout not working..
I did the A4-M6 tranny swap this winter and everything is working great except the reverse lockout. When you want to go into reverse you have to really work to get it into gear.
Im pretty sure I wired right and I followed the directions on Alex's website. I used the green wire from the reverse lights as the 12V..Anyone know off hand what color the wire is that you need to tap into from the old A4 wire "harness"?

If you look in the back of the main tranny connector, the wires will have letters next to them. You want the very last wire "U" in the row that only has 2 wires in it. It should be of Brown color. (which can be hard to distinguish because there's usually lots of dust/oil/mud on that connector)
You do have a manual tranny program in your PCM, right?

Also, the problem that you may be experiencing could be the famous M6 problem many people including myself experienced.
Sometimes you have to switch a few times into 3rd/4th, then try reverse. The lockout solenoid shouldn't be bothering you unless you're driving and when switching in 5th, you accidentally go a little further to the right in the reverse area. That's when it should lock you out to prevent tranny damage.
