Ok guys, I've had it with these damn opti's...I just replaced one 10 days ago and it's out again. That makes 4 Opti's in just a little over a year. This last time it went out as I hammered it coming out of a turn and when I threw it in second, it took a dump on me. What can be causing this? I know how to properly install one as I've done it over 10x on buddies cars and mine as well. Could it be my timing chain is off a bit or loose? I dunno what to think now, anyone experience delteq yet?

 

What is failing..... optical sensor? cap/rotor? What does it look like when you take it apart?

 

What brand of opti's are you installing?

 

ALL unit have been brand new from GM. I haven't inspected the Opti this time, but I think it might be the rotor since I shut off on me as i shifted in to 2nd (6500 rpms)
