97SS Are cats plugged or shot

I have a 97SS that i bought a couple months ago and the car was bone stock no mods... I was wandering if anybody thinks the cats may be clogged or a restriction ... The car runs strong but has 141,000 miles on it.. The car was mostly highway miles.. Your thoughts would be great.. I know a shop that will get rid of both cats and put new pipe in but i don't know if it would be worth it....cost is $140...

Thanks Chris

I know but that is where it all starts Before you know it your buying mods , mods ,mods, how fun is that I thought maybe the cars cats with that many miles might be bad.... Thanks For the quick response:
