97 Z28 uses which kind of antifreeze??

Hello, I have bought a 1997 Camaro Z28 from Arizona, and I am getting it ready to be shipped. My question is wether or not the car uses the newer Dex Cool or the regular green antifreeze? I need to have the fluid changed before I ship the car to prevent it from freezing during transit.

If anyone knows which fluid it uses, I would greatly appreciate the info.

Thanks

Cool ZR

Either one as long as its not mixed. I currently run green with no problems.

DexCool would have been the factory coolant. Chances are the previous owner was still using it.

It uses Dex Cool (the orange one). Make sure you add the antifreeze you start the car and open the two air bleed screws to purge all the system. It might later on need to be topped off.

Cool, thanks guys, I will have to check with the used car dealer, hopefully the tech they use is competent and didn't just drop the orange and put the green back in b/c its cheap!!

If it is incorrectly bled, and it's driven say maybe a half mile total before I can physically check it myself, will it cause any damage? They will be driving the car onto the trailer, back off, and I will do the same into my enclosed and probably back off so Customs can inspect it

Thanks
