technically a 2 door coupe is a car that has 2 doors and only seats 2 people (Vette, Miata, 350Z, RX7, Benz Kompressor etc. etc.)
a 2 door sedan (what F-bodys are) has 2 doors and seats 4 people (Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, MB 600SE, BMW M3,
check the SCCA class of F-body's and Mustangs... "American Sedan"

ne way a '97 in good shape with less then average miles can go for 8.5-10K depending on area and condition and the higher mileage and worse condition car will obviously go for less!
I drive a '97 but must say if you can find a '98 for around the same price/condition go for that one instead
all '93+ newer Z28's/SS' have a V8

I tend to agree with him. Not everyone knows the in's and out's. I think it is great that someone is interested in becoming an F body owner.

I think the biggest problem is you calling it brand new. I think you mean to say "in perfect condition", or "very low miles, great condition". The only way to buy it brand new was like when I ordered mine in '97 and got it straight from the factory. I could have also bought my '97 Z28 "brand new" in late '96-mid '97 off the car lot.

There is no such thing as any brand new camaros anymore because they are no longer being manufactured by GM.

If he understood that, then why did he type it in his last response? I'm trying to help him out so that he doesn't sound stupid when he asks his buddy to find him a brand new '97 Z28. Sheesh

a new car could easily mean 'new too him'
i know when i've shopped for a car i've told friends i'm getting a "new car" but yet i've never bought a "new car" see what i'm saying all of my used cars have been "new" to me
he obviously (i really hope) knows this isnt 1997 and there for can not be a new car meaning '04 model year
quit nitpickin and go take your midol

Yeah, I didn't think about it that way. I get what you are saying. Either way, it's wrong, but now I think I understand where he is coming from.
