97 ws6 modifications

hey guys, my freind has a 97 ws6 and he plans on modifying it soon and wants it to be fast. now i have a stang and don't know much about the lt1 that he has, although i do know quite a bit about the ls1's because i plan on buyign one within the next year or so.

Anyways on with the the questions that i have.

for his completely stock auto ws6, what exhaust should he put on. i told him that maybe the pacesetter LT and OR y pipe would be a good set-up along with a cat-back of his choice. (most liekly LM) and then a good gear. maybe 3.73 for this car, or no gears?

and then he wants to make real power and most likely go internal.

Now i understand all of the options with the LS1's and i have tried to do some research for the lt1 but i can't grasp what a good head\cam combo would be everyone says something different.

should he just have this great head porter 'lloyd" hog out a set of stock heads for him, or should he go out and buy a good set of AFR's? and i have read that lloyd would be able to set him up with a good cam as well. is this a good/the best route to take?

Hw heard about the LT4 conversion kit and i told him that there is probobly better out there for cheaper, am i right?

What other good mods can he do? and what shoudl he do about the auto tranny?

Thanks
Louie

Ohh yeah BTW he had gotten into an accident and no longer has functioning ram air or the hood/ he has KNN ibntake system that mounts the filter in his fender.
