97 TA with a no start
I have a 97 ta that doesn't start, I have no spark coming for the wires or the coil. The scan tool shows no high resolution signal and a low resolution signal of 327.7 ms. The coil is new and the coil module is also new. I have power at terminal "A" on both the coil and coil module connectors. I have good conitnuity to ground on terminal "C" on the coil module connector. I have power at terminal "C" on the distributer connector as well. I have .3 ohms or less on the wires from the PCM to the distributer. I also have power at the crank sensor.
The didtributer has been changed twice already by an unknown brand and i need to know what else to check before removing it again.
Is there anything that I am missing here or did i just get a bad distributer?

Re: 97 TA with a no start
Check the white wire going to the ICM for the presence of 1-4 volts AC. Be sure you have the meter set to AC. If it's there, the problem is either the ICM or the coil or the wiring to either. BUT chances are good, it's not there. Then the cause could be the signal from the opti to the PCM or the PCM itself.
Also, if you have a problem with feedback signals from the opti, there should be a code and you don't have any listed. Retrieve the codes and troubleshoot accordingly.
