97 Engine harness into a 93- Any thing need to be adjusted

I am putting my 97 engine and trans into a 93 car.

I am starting to worry after looking at shoboxes diagrams that maybe i need to do some splicing to get everything to work.

On the c230 conector for the 93 "K Tan/Black (Automatic) Torque converter clutch control "

But on the 97 it is "K Purple Output field service enable"

Any idea if i need to switch they to somewhere else?

Oh god the more i look the more diffrrances i find i think i am in trouble.!!!!

I would be prepared to make some new connections. The best thing would be to get the 93 and 97 wiring diagrams in front of you to compare them.

I printed off what the conector ends from your web page, i am working on those now.

Let me ask this now also

on the 93 c230 pin F "Feed from fuel pump and fuel pump relay to prime connector"

What would i conect their from the 97 wires?

The easiest thing would be to use the 93 harness (although I would convert). In that case all you would need to do is use 93 style oxygen sensors, or better yet, convert to heated ones. You will also need to use the 93 TB underplate since the connector for the IAC valve is different. You can use a 94-97 connector on the 93 harness.
Finally, you will need to use a 93-95 knock sensor.
This would be all that is required to get the engine to run properly with a 93 harness.

The next easiest thing would be to use a modified 94 harness (I actually have mine for sale modified for this purpose http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488673). The advantage of using this harness is that it only has one connector, on the strut tower, just like the 93 (unfortunately 94 M6 harnesses are pretty rare though). With the 97 harness, you will have to get intimately familiar with shoebox's wiring diagrams. There will be some work to be done on rewiring a 97.

Will the 94 harness plug into my 97 computer? If i fail at getting mine to work i will buy yours

I have the 93 m6 harness but i dont have the computer and i want obdII.

I think their are only 2 things i need help with rewiring

On the C230 plug K - output field service enable---What is that and where do i tap into it

on the 93 c220 (said 230 above by mistake) pin F "Feed from fuel pump and fuel pump relay to prime connector"---what does that do and where do i tap into that one---SOLVED!!!!!!

Oh one more question, on the 97 auto trans PNP switch their is a wire that is hot when the car is in park and neutral---where in the c230 or 220 do i conect that and what does it do.

Thatnks for your help guys!
