95 Z28 Phantom water leak.

1995 Z28
A little over a week ago, I caught a whiff of anti-freeze after I parked. Popped the hood and water was leaking from behind the water pump. Could not see where it was leaking from. I figured I was going to be changing a water pump as soon as I could get the time to do so. Every time Ive parked since, I pop the hood and look. Has yet to leak again and water level is full. Any idea as to why I would have a one time 'phantom' water leak? Should I replace the pump even though it has not leaked since? (Driven 100-200 miles daily so its had many chances to build pressure and leak.)

Thanks for any input.

You just have one of those Camaros that fix themselves. Very rare..my jeep used to be like that..

one day one problem...next day fixed.

No , I have not had time to have a pressure test performed. All I have had time for at this point is to keep checking for any leak or loss of water.

well my next step would be to pressure test it, who knows it could be a hose or a pump or anything. it would be very silly to just start replacing parts
