Fuel pump relay is under the drivers dead pedal. What's that got to do with the starter?

I would check terminals first, I know you said you checked connectors but was not entirely sure if that is what you ment.

Check for dead battery.

I think you're confusing the fuel pump relay for the Theft Deterrent relay.

if you can hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the ON position, it isnt a problem with the relay. Check to make sure your battery terminals and grounds are clean and secure.

Clicking noise is an indication you don't have enough current. There are several reasons for that. The most common is a bad connection, the next most common is a weak or bad battery. Easiest way to check both is jump directly from the battery to the starter. If it doesn't crank then, check the battery voltage while it's being jumped directly to the starter. If it goes below 11 volts, either the battery is low or defective or the starter is shot and pulling too much current.

One thing you have to remember about connections is there are more than just those on the battery itself. The negative battery cable also goes to the body and on the drivers side, a ground strap takes the ground from the body to the engine. Any of these connections can be a problem.

If all connections are good, take the battery and have it load tested, auto zone or advance auto will do it, if it's good, probably a bad starter
