95 z28 or 96 z

Next friday i'm going to check on two z28s a 95 A4 for $5700 and a 96 M6 for $7500. I don't know how many miles are on each though but i have seen both the 95 is green and looks bone stock with stock exhaust and wheels and no window tint. The 96 is silver has aftermarket wheels and exhaust and window tint. Both may have more but from what i'm describing which one sounds like the better deal. Thanks.

I'd prefer the 6 speed, but I'd also prefer a 95 setup over a 96. Aftermarket wheels, ricer wheels or something decently wide? There is an SS here with 18x8" skinnies, probably weigh near 30 pounds too.

Sounds like either decide which one you like more, or wait till you find what you want.

I would be partial to the 6-speed. Assuming it's in good working order the price seem very reasonable.

see which one seems more beat up. The one that is bone stock might not have been driven as hard. But then again, what is more fun than the 6 spd?

I wouldnt start comparing them until you know all the detials. Auto/m6, T-tops etc, Run car fax's on each, milage is important, mods or stock is important too...Mods= more likely to be beat on..

So check them out throughly and i'll bet you'll have one picked out right after you visually see each and get all the details
but good luck!

I would lean more towards the 6 speed since it already has some of the basic mods done as long as the rims look good. It's also a 6 speed, and they're so much fun.

Well the 95 would be good because of the lower price and the fact that it is a OBD1 car but the 96 has a 6spd which is something i wish i would have gotten instead of a auto but when i bought my car i wasn't looking for a car but a friend was in a hurry to sell it and gave me a great deal on it, but if i were looking for one now i would go with a 6spd.

sorry i didn't respond back earlier but i have to leave for work everyday at 4. What is OBD1.? And what is the difference in the 95 and 96 setup? Another factor on which car i get will be which car lot gives me the best trade in on my current car.

94-95 have ODB1...

I would think you'll get nothing on a trade in for your old car. Better off keeping it and selling it yourself. I remember when i was going to trade in my MINT 77k 1984 Trans AM that was stock ( stock is better IMO, b/c you know it wasnt beat on) and they were only giving me not even close to 2 grand. It was more towards 1,500 and this car was asolutely MINT.

But good luck
