I was wondering what kind of resistors were needed to do the vats bypass. i am having the same problem that i have seen described on here by other people, but i can't find out what kind of resistors i need. The car is not starting, i can hear a clicking from the abs relay, the starter is not getting any power, and the battery is brand new and reading plenty of power. When i used a multimeter to test the key pellet i got a .51 reading. How do i translate that into a reading on shoebox's chart? My brother talked to one of his friends and he said that it translated to 10,000 ohms, but i am not sure if this is right. Also, what type of resistor is needed? My brother went to pick some up from Radio Shack and he said they had 2 types of them, and he got 1 pack of each. Can anyone help me out?

If it was the VATS the security light in the dash will go on when you try to start it.
