i replaced my head gaskets, the coolant crossover pipe leaks from the back of the head? do the bolts have to line up a certain way so that the holes on the bolts line up with the pipe? i have spent alot of time putting my car back together to find out i am leaking coolant from these bolts?!?! can anyone give me some advice? thank you.

 

they have gaskets that are supposed to be on them!

 

there is rubber gaskets inside the tube where you insert the bolt as well as on the headwhere the bolt threads in.

thanks bond-dave. are you saying i need to buy new gaskets? or do i need to have the bolts in just the right spot in order to line up the holes parallel with the piping?

 

you need a total of 4. 2 per side, 1 between the head and crossover tube and 1 between the crossover tube and the bolt. it dosent matter with the holes in the bolt, they can face any direction
