95 LT1 in 88 Iroc

Recently laid off So with my free time I"ve decided to FINALLY start working on my 88 Iroc which has been sitting in my garage for over 10yrs. While working on the cosmetics(preping for paint, etc..) been looking for a 350 to replace the 305tpi. Found a 95 LTI motor completely redone top to bottom-high rise, comp perf cam, etc... for a great price. Will this bolt to the exsisting 5 speed manual tranny? Want to go carbureted vs tpi?

New to the site and have'nt done any serious mods since I was about 20yrs old(I'm now 43) so ANY advice would be greatly appreciated! Obviously since I'm laid off the project is LOW budget so I don't want to let the LT1 deal get away if it doesn't require to many mods to install.

I posted this same thread in the tech section which I guess was wrong (moderators spank me as neccessary)

Thanx

It will bolt to the T-5 but I'll bet the first or second time you dump the clutch the tranny will dump also. If you are goin carb you can get away with a lot that ppl with the efi cant. As said check out TGO a lot of good info on the LT1 swap.
