95 Camaro Z28 - LS7?

I have a 1995 Camaro Z28. I am looking into putting a LS7 into it. Is it possible? And what other parts would I need besides the crate engine? Thanks for the help.

Is it possible? Sure, will it be difficult, most likely. My guess is you will need the pcm, tranny, then you will need a new rear end. Thats just the bare minimums, if the motor does not fit you may have to "make it" fit. I imagin ull have alot of custom work.

youd basicaly have to make an ls1 fit in your car, for the money your going to have into it, and as cool as it would be, you would be cheaper to build the LT1 up if your just doing it to be fast, for the amount spent youll be alot faster than that LS7 and have half the money invested.

What would I need to to to the LT1 to get 500hp? I really don't like the idea of a super charger or nitros. Is it still possible with out those?

why not boost it? but it can be done, a nice forged 383 with a nice set of heads and a matching cam can net 500 rwhp. unlike your ls7 which is rated at 505 fwhp.
theres absolutely nothing dangerous about boosting a motor as long as you do it in moderation, same with nitrous. have you riden in a boosted 4th gen? if not do it, youll never look back!

I know you are right about that. I have had this car for 11 years. And I was looking at getting a 05 or newer Corvette. But know I want to totally redo the Camaro. And it would be so sweet to see the LS7 under the hood. With the Z06 505hp badging on the side. It would be nice if someone could give me a complete list of exactly what parts I would need.

do a search for ls1 swaps into lt1 cars. i doubt there will be a parts list anywhere, its the kind of project that involves some engineering to get done. i like the ls7 motor i have driven an ls7 vette and know a guy running an ls7 third gen that goes 6.1 in the eighth mile with a mild cam and mufflers. there is a lot of horsepower potential in the ls7 far beond its rated 505 hp.
