94 Z28, Water Pump Torque Value???

I was torqueing down my bolts on my water pump today after replacing the gaskets, and i broke a bolt.....thankfully i was able to get the "rest" of the bolt out.

I have the Chilton book, and it says 30 ft lbs, does that sound right?

Since i had to pull the water pump back out, i discarded the new gaskets because i wasn't able to finish the job tonight, the shop closed... now, no one has the gaskets in stock, do you recommend using gasket maker??? I have the High Temp stuff.

Thanks

30 lb ft is correct for the water pump bolts.
