94 Z28 pros/cons

I just bought a 94 Z28 for $3,000. Mods are.........383, heads, cam (don't know specs) racing cluch (not sure which one), MSD 6A ignition, edlebrock long tubes, 4:10's or 11's, CC Promags RR and some I have not tore into to find out I'm sure. I took the breather off (the valve cover) to see the RR's and the spedo is WAAAAAAAAY off so I know there are gears. The only thing I can not be sure of if they were honest was if it was a 383. I bought it from a used car lot. It still has ALL the emission parts so I'm sure the cam is not to big. I seen it, stopped by and asked how much and he let me have it for $3000 so I jumped on it.

I drove it of course before I bought it and it ran good but my 96 would KILL it I'm sure. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to it I don't know. They cluth let out VERY low. With all that being said.......What should I know about a 94 that's different from the 96?

And do y'all think I got a decent deal? I'll post up pics monday or tuesday, that's when I'm going back to pick it up.

A person that goes through the trouble of having a 383 done wouldnt skip on a tune and at the same time have the speedo set.

Same thing I was thinking. My purpose for this car is to pull the motor and rebuild it or make it a 383 if it isn't one and put it in front of the auto for a drag car. I know the motor in the 96 is good so I'm putting it in the 94. So it's not a real big deal if it's not a 383..............cause it will be!! Just a little more $$ if it ain't.

Real good point......
You need a starting point to know where your going......just make sure it's SAE, or at minimum STD corrected, not UNCORRECTED.....
