ok i took the motor out of a 95 t/a and it went in fine it bolted on and me and my dad got the motor in and everything and went to start it up and it would crank over real fast and almost seem to backfire......well at first we assumed the timing was off but it wasnt....and we found out the opti wasnt firing right and had moisture in it so we took it apart and dried it out with starter fluid and put it back together and sealed it off now it start but barely wants to crank over and when it does it idles real rought won't rev up and seems to get really hot real fast....i was just wonderiing does this sound like a bad opti to you guys??;......i hear the optis are bad in these cars ......and if they go bad with moisture y the F**k would you put them under the waterpump?!? please help me you guys.....

If it cranks real fast, you probably have the valves too tight. Heating up fast generally means you don't have all the air bled out of the cooling system.
