94 timing gasket on 95?

Ive got a 95 LT1 and ordered a timing cover gasket set from one of our vendors. They sent me Felpro #45953 which is supposed to be for 93-94 models. I called them and told them about it and they tell me to go ahead and use it anyway because it will work too.

I looked it up and found that I need Felpro #45956 for 95-97 LT1's. I am not sure what the difference is, but probably somthing with the opti. I will be using an electric water pump as well.

My question is... will the 93-94 style work or do I need to get the one that is supposed to be for my car.

Thanks

They only diffrence inbetween those two kits is that the opti seal for the 93-94 car is smaller (a lot) than the one you need for your 95. I would just pick up the 95-97 kit and be done with it. Unless you are daring and are not going to replace the seals on the timing cover. drip..... ......

The timing cover gasket *SHOULD* be the same, just because you can install a 95 cover on a 94 engine. The seals, like already mentioned, will be different though. Get the right set.
