How on earth do you get these things off... The whole black peice plastic broke.. Just the metal peice that screws in is on there... do these have to be torqed to a certain spec?

You use an oil pressure sensor socket. You tighten it until it does not leak. It uses tapered pipe threads, so you don't need to bury all the threads. Use some pipe dope on the threads (not teflon tape).
well the 15 dollar oil pressure sensor socket I bought Fit the replacement sensor perfect... At least it wont fit the OEM one
what the F was a matter with GM when they were making the LT1... Ive had to go buy 300 dollars worth of special tools just to install a cam

What are you talking about? They sell the oil pressure sensor socket at autozone for like $5.99. You shouldn't need any special tools for a cam install, besides the fuel disconnect tools which are ~ $5 also. If you don't have tools like torque wrenches and other misc tools then its good to have them, but they are by no means special tools. Try working on a mercedes and you'll know what "special tools" are. Good luck.
